Debbie Hopkins is an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford. Since 2015, she has been working with the UK freight sector, first on questions of (micro) automations and driver subjectivities, then focusing on logistical labour, gendered and racialized mobile work in freight and logistics, and everyday mobile working lives. She is increasingly interested in creative engagements with the freight sector, and is working closely with the sector around the acute and increasingly visible driver shortage in the UK.
